Memories of a teacher from Ceará working between the 20th and 21st centuries

Resumo: The qualitative approach study, of the biographical type, focuses on Raimunda, a teacher from Ceará who began her professional career in the second half of the 20th century, in the city of Fortaleza-CE. The objective is to get to know Raimunda's life and educational experiences, in order to identify aspects concerning the educational scenario during the time frame that comprises her performance in the classroom. Methodologically, a structured interview was carried out via the Whatsapp app, in June 2021, to collect data on the family constitution, educational background and teaching practice of the biography. The theoretical contribution includes authors such as Dosse (2015), who deals with biographical writing, Saviani (2011), historian of education in Brazil, Araújo (2015) and Sousa (1961), historians of education in Ceará; among others. It was asserted that Raimunda is a woman whose family background is not well-off, who migrated to the capital of Ceará in search of better living conditions, where she carries out her professional performance and has experienced important changes in education, such as mandatory teacher training at the level higher education and the process of feminization of the teaching profession. It is concluded that biographical writing about teachers is of interest to advance knowledge of the history of education, especially at the local level.

O objetivo é conhecer a vida e as experiências educativas de Raimunda, para a identificação de aspectos concernentes ao cenário educativo no decorrer do recorte temporal que compreende a sua atuação em sala de aula. Metodologicamente, realizou-se entrevista estruturada, realizada via aplicativo Whatsapp, em junho de 2021, para a coleta de dados sobre a constituição familiar, formação educativa e prática docente da biografada. O aporte teórico compreende autores como Dosse (2015), que trata sobre a escrita biográfica, Saviani (2011), historiador da educação do Brasil, Araújo (2015) e Sousa (1961), historiadores da educação cearense; dentre outros. Asseverou-se que Raimunda é uma mulher cuja origem familiar é pouco abastada, que migrou para a capital cearense em busca de melhores condições de vida, onde efetiva a sua atuação profissional e vivenciou transformações importantes da educação, como a obrigatoriedade de formação docente em nível superior e o processo de feminilização do magistério.
