Inclusion in rural schools during the pandemic

Resumo: The years 2020 and 2021 were marked by the COVID-19 pandemic and the challenges imposed by that moment, among which is to ensure the inclusion of special education students in the remote modality,thar was adopted during this period. It is in this context that the present article investigated how a rural school in São João da Canabrava, in the  countryside of Piauí, articulated itself to promote the inclusion of students with disabilities during the pandemic. The analysis was carried out through a bibliographic review of works that were aligned to this theme and analysis of documents produced by the municipality during the pandemic. The results obtained showed that, although the Municipal Education Department planned inclusive actions to adapt and develop pedagogical resources aimed at special education students, such actions did not materialize in practice, as some documents demonstrate that nothing in this direction was actually done.

É nesse contexto que o presente artigo investigou como uma escola do campo localizada no município de São João da Canabrava, no interior do Piauí, articulou-se para promover a inclusão dos alunos com deficiência, durante a pandemia. A análise foi feita por meio de revisão bibliográfica de trabalhos que estivessem alinhados a essa temática e de análise dos documentos produzidos pelo município durante esse período.
