Resumo: Botany is an area of Science that presents a large number of terms and definitions, sometimes being taught through a traditional, memoristic and decontextualized teaching method. Factors that can lead to further development of symptoms of what is known to be botanical incomprehension. In this way, it is necessary to transpose the traditional methodologies. The objective of this study was to describe the activities and experiences provided by a project in a public elementary school in the rural area of the municipality of Picuí-PB. This is an experience report, with a descriptive character. The activities were carried out in a public elementary school. Two school visits were carried out, and four different activities were carried out, in which the promotion of student participation, the awakening of curiosity and the acquisition of new knowledge were noted. Therefore, it is understood that the proposed activities contributed to the mitigation of botanical incomprehension.

Fatores que podem levar a um maior desenvolvimento de sintomas do que é conhecido por impercepção botânica. Desta forma, é preciso transpor as metodologias tradicionais. O objetivo deste estudo foi descrever as atividades e experiências proporcionadas por um projeto em uma escola pública de ensino fundamental da zona rural do município de Picuí-PB. Trata-se de um relato de experiência, de caráter descritivo. As atividades foram realizadas em uma escola pública de ensino fundamental. Foram realizadas duas visitas escolares, e quatro diferentes atividades, em que se notou promoção da participação dos estudantes, o despertar da curiosidade e da aquisição de novos conhecimentos.
