Resumo: The MST has in its praxis the peculiarity of the struggle against the hegemony of capital. Education is, for the movement, a tool to free this hegemony. In this sense, the objective here is to analyze the process of struggle and construction of Rural Education in Brazil in the trajectory of the MST. For that, a bibliographical and documental research was carried out, with the Bulletins and Educational Notebooks produced and published by the MST as a data source. The analysis of the materials found in the Digital Library of the Brazilian Agrarian Question, organized by the MST, showed that the history of rural education is confused with the trajectory of the movement itself. It was concluded, therefore, that the materials produced by the MST recount the struggle for Rural Education, in addition to presenting the theoretical foundations of this new concept of education that aims at the integral formation of individuals who are critical, participative and militant of class causes hardworking.

Para tanto, realizou-se uma pesquisa bibliográfica e documental, tendo os Boletins e Cadernos de Educação produzidos e publicizados pelo MST como fonte de dados. A análise dos materiais encontrados na Biblioteca Digital da Questão Agrária Brasileira, organizada pelo MST, demonstraram que a história da educação do campo se confunde a trajetória do próprio movimento.
