How interdisciplinarity and citizen formation are addressed in a public school in Fortaleza-CE

Resumo: The objective is to investigate the practices developed in a public elementary school in Fortaleza-CE with a view to the integral training of students. It is methodologically supported by participant observation, from which the daily lives of two classes were experienced, carried out through the support of the Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program at the State University of Ceará (PIBID / UECE). In addition to participant observation, informal interviews were conducted with the educators of the groups in the study, in order to understand the observed practices. It is evident that there is a discrepancy between what is established by the Law of Guidelines and Bases of National Education, Law nº 9.394 / 96, and the school reality, since it has not been possible to carry out the integral training of students, since the curricular contents are assigned, which for the most part have no meaning for students. It is concluded that citizenship formation is impaired by the education system itself, which previously establishes what students should learn by the end of basic schooling.

It is concluded that citizenship formation is impaired by the education system itself, which previously establishes what students should learn by the end of basic schooling.Objetiva-se investigar as práticas desenvolvidas em uma escola pública de Ensino Fundamental de Fortaleza-CE com vistas à formação integral dos estudantes. Apoia-se metodologicamente na observação participante, a partir da qual foi vivenciado o cotidiano de duas turmas, feito concretizado mediante o Programa de Bolsas de Iniciação à Docência da Universidade Estadual do Ceará (PIBID/UECE). Além da observação participante, foram realizadas entrevistas informais com as educadoras das turmas lócus do estudo, sob o intuito de compreender as práticas observadas. Evidencia-se haver discrepância entre o que estabelece a Lei de Diretrizes e Bases da Educação Nacional, Lei nº 9.394/96, e a realidade escolar, visto que não tem sido possível efetivar a formação integral dos estudantes, já que são priorizados os conteúdos curriculares, que em sua maioria não possuem significado para os discentes.
