Covid-19's Continuing Education in Times of Pandemic

Resumo: This essay aims to reflect the continuing education of teachers in the municipal network of Fortaleza (CE) in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. We are theoretically based on Tardif (2014), Campos (2013) and others that deal with teacher education. The descriptive qualitative study had fourteen teacher-trainers as subjects and was based on the technique of participant observation. We saw that the teacher-trainers had to appropriate new skills, equipment and other aptitudes, which in the virtual environment have become essential due to the peculiarities that differ from face-to-face. We concluded that the work of training in times of pandemic imposed challenges such as new skills, mastery of others methodologies and adherence, as education professionals had to reinvent themselves to fulfill their attributions, even overcoming bureaucratic, financial, political, conceptual and management challenges, which constitute impediments to the success of continuing education.

Nos fundamentamos teoricamente em Tardif (2014), Campos (2013) e outros que tratam da formação de professores. O estudo qualitativo descritivo teve como sujeitos catorze professores-formadores e se pautou na técnica da observação participante. Vimos que os professores-formadores tiveram que se apropriar de novas habilidades, equipamentos e outras aptidões, que no ambiente virtual tornaram-se imprescindíveis diante das peculiaridades que o difere do presencial.
