History teaching and new technologies: challenges and perspectives

Resumo: | The use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in the field of Education is no longer a mere abstraction. However, it is important to recognize that it is not enough to just use technological resources and believe that, by themselves, they will guarantee the full development of the teaching-learning process. The role of the teacher, instead of seeming reduced, should take on an even greater commitment to mediate the student's relationship with technological resources, favoring the construction of knowledge and not just the absorption of informations. Thus, the present text aims to discuss challenges and to point out, as far as possible, perspectives concerning the use of ICTs in the teaching-learning process of the discipline of History. The methodology used consisted of a literature review and in the research, selection and consultation of websites and platforms in order to suggest materials, themes, methodologies, didatic sequences, etc., for teaching History. It is hoped, in this way, to contribute with teachers and students to the enrichment of reflections and debates regarding the teaching of History and its possibilities. |

Todavia, é importante reconhecer que não basta apenas utilizar os recursos tecnológicos e acreditar que, por si mesmos, vão garantir o pleno desenvolvimento do processo de ensino-aprendizagem. O papel do(a) professor(a), ao invés de parecer reduzido, deve revestir-se de um compromisso ainda maior no sentido de mediar a relação do(a) estudante com os recursos tecnológicos, favorecendo a construção de conhecimento e não apenas a absorção de informações. Assim, o presente texto tem como objetivo discutir desafios e apontar, na medida do possível, perspectivas concernentes ao uso das TICs no processo de ensino-aprendizagem da disciplina de História. A metodologia empregada consistiu na revisão de literatura e na pesquisa, seleção e consulta de sites e plataformas a fim de sugerir materiais, temáticas, metodologias, sequências didáticas, etc., para o ensino de História.
