Proposal of a participatory technique for the practice of oral interaction in Spanish as a foreign language

Resumo: The aim is to propose the use of a participatory technique as a type of interactive task that mobilises competences and strategies to communicate and collaborate with other peers. The thematic axis is the environment as a socio-cultural content in the course of Spanish as a foreign language at the B2 reference level at the University of Oriente, Cuba. Observation is used as the main method to check the effectiveness of the technique, as well as the interactive and intercultural performance of the students. It is concluded that the technique developed favoured the development of the interactive dynamics between the actors in the process of learning Spanish as a foreign language. The results highlight the potential of participatory techniques, as the adoption of this didactic resource in a conscious and systematic way by the teacher can contribute to the enrichment of intercultural competence.

El eje temático es el medio ambiente como contenido sociocultural en el curso de español como lengua extranjera en el nivel de referencia B2 en la Universidad de Oriente, Cuba. Se emplea la observación como principal método para comprobar la eficacia de la tarea   y la comunicación intercultural de los alumnos. Se concluye que la técnica elaborada favoreció el desarrollo de la interacción oral entre los actores del proceso de aprendizaje del español como lengua extranjera.
