Resumo: | In this article the objective is to present the contributions of Paulo Freire's education to the formation of teachers of Youth and Adult Education. It is a bibliographic research, based predominantly on readings of works by Paulo Freire, but also presents reflections on the training practice of popular educators of Youth and Adult Education experienced in a Popular Education Center of a public University of the state of Pará. Initially, human education and education as permanent processes are analyzed in Paulo Freire's education, then the Freirean guidelines and the methodological trajectory for EJA teacher training. Among the results, it is highlighted that the training of educators in the view of Paulo Freire aims at the autonomy of teachers as subjects in personal terms and as citizens, having an ethical and political dimension. |

Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, pautada predominantemente em leituras de obras de Paulo Freire, mas apresentam, também, reflexões sobre a prática formadora de educadores/as populares da Educação de Jovens e Adultos vivenciada em um Núcleo de Educação Popular de uma Universidade pública do estado do Pará. Inicialmente analisa-se na educação de Paulo Freire a formação humana e a educação como processos permanentes, em seguida, as diretrizes freireanas e a trajetória metodológica para a formação de professores/a da EJA.
