Didactic Sequences and CTSA approach: an experience with the content “Trash”

Resumo: | The contents about scientific knowledge, in the context of Basic Education, have been presented to students in a decontextualized way, with emphasis only on theoretical aspects. In this scenario, the discipline of Science is known for presenting an uncritical character and without the proper use of contextualization. These are characteristics that contribute to an aversion that prevails among students regarding the study of this discipline and encourage the development of discussions about the teaching of Science, which is the great difficulty for students in the process of learning the contents of this discipline. Given the above, an attempt was made to develop a Didactic Sequence (SD) based on the CTSA approach, with elementary school students, based on the content of Trash. We use contextualization and new didactic resources. It was observed that the use of resources was promising and good results were obtained. |

It was observed that the use of resources was promising and good results were obtained.Os conteúdos acerca do conhecimento científico, no contexto da Educação Básica, têm sido apresentados aos discentes de modo descontextualizado, com ênfase apenas em aspectos teóricos. Nesse cenário, a disciplina de Ciências é conhecida por apresentar um caráter acrítico e sem o emprego adequado da contextualização. Essas são características que contribuem para uma aversão que prevalece entre os estudantes no tocante ao estudo desta disciplina e incitam o desenvolvimento de discussões acerca do ensino de Ciências, que é a grande dificuldade dos alunos no processo de aprendizagem dos conteúdos desta disciplina. Diante do exposto, buscou-se desenvolver uma Sequência Didática (SD) baseada no enfoque CTSA, com alunos do ensino fundamental, a partir do conteúdo Lixo. Utilizamos a contextualização e novos recursos didáticos.
