Resumo: This article aims to discuss, through a quantitative analysis, the panorama of the offer of Letters courses in distance education and face-to-face. The data analysed is from the Census on Higher Education (Inep), in the period from 2010 to 2018, considering variables such as distribution of these courses by administrative category, the concentration of vacancies, the number of newcomers, enrolled and graduates. In a scenario of renewal of public policies, we hope to offer information to think about the Letters teachers education based on these legal frameworks, the student context and the universities that offer these courses.
