Resumo: From the analysis of the methods that support the performance of strategic design in the territorial dimension and the understanding of the existence of a gap in the methodological propositions specifically oriented towards urban spaces, this article aims to propose a strategic design methodology build for the development of projects applied to urban space. Considering the principles of Design Science Research (DSR), such methodology was practiced in a design experience in the Historical Center of Porto Alegre.
