Cultural artifacts: the narrative of the franciscan vocabulary

Resumo: This article presents an iconographic survey of the figure of Saint Francis of Assisi – a saint of the Catholic religion, who led a revolution in the way of feeling and representing the outside world, suggesting a new game of emblems and figurative attributes to represent the Christian religion. The survey acted as a support for the discussion of design and art history, to recognize the meanings attributed to the establishment of the configuration of sacred and cultural artifacts.

La encuesta actuó como soporte para la discusión del diseño y la historia del arte, para reconocer los significados atribuidos en el establecimiento de la configuración de los artefactos sagrados y culturales.Este artigo apresenta um levantamento iconográfico da figura de São Francisco de Assis – santo da religião católica, que protagonizou uma revolução na maneira de sentir e de representar o mundo exterior, sugerindo um novo jogo de emblemas e atributos figurativos para representar a religião cristã.
