Resumo: When we recognize fashion as a communication phenomenon, we must take into account that it can also build visual identities. The intention of this paper is to present fashion as a visual language, as well as the construction of the style and what it means, more specifically the retro, the vintage, and the minimalist styles. In order to do so, we used the methodology of the bibliographical research, aiming at understanding fashion as a visual language linked to several styles.

O artigo objetiva apresentar a moda como linguagem, assim como a construção do estilo e o seu simbolismo, explorando especificamente os estilos retrô, vintage e minimalista.
