Resumo: Using the design thinking approach, an immersion in the Araçatuba/SP public transport system was made with the aim of finding possible problems by the users’ point of view. A bibliographic study on urban planning to public transportation was also conducted, according to Ascher’s (2010) and Farr’s (2013) references about it. After the understanding of the problems, it was possible to conclude that the public transport system is inappropriate.
