Resumo: | Creativity is a human characteristic and a core aspect for corporative competitiveness, especially in business environments that are frequently changing. Thus, corporations must create environments of creativity stimulation so that ideas can be transformed into innovation. However, many obstacles can make the creative process diffi cult, including the organizational culture itself. The objective of this study is to verify the characteristics of the culture of creativity stimulation as means for innovative processes in product development companies. The research is qualitative (as per its structure), and exploratory/descriptive (as per the objectives) – with two cases being presented. The results indicate a relationship between the organizational culture of creativity stimulation and the development of innovative products, processes, or services. Reports show one of the biggest challenges for companies is to fi nd means to overcome obstacles, thus stimulating the expression of creativity amongst employees |

Por isso, é necessário que as organizações criem ambientes que estimulem a criatividade de modo às ideias de seus membros possam ser transformadas em inovação. No entanto, existem muitas barreiras para dificultam o processo criativo, como por exemplo, a própria cultura organizacional. Assim, o objetivo deste estudo é verificar as características da cultura de estímulo a criatividades como instrumentos de processos inovadores nas empresas de desenvolvimento de produto. Classifica-se a presente pesquisa, quanto à sua forma em qualitativa, quanto aos objetivos, pesquisa exploratória e descritiva com apresentação de dois casos. Os resultados obtidos indicaram que existe uma relação entre a cultura organizacional de estimulo a criatividade e ao desenvolvimento de produtos, processos ou serviços inovadores.
