The knowledge of history: elements of a contemporary curriculum

Resumo: It is common place to say that history studies the past to learn to live in the gift and to construct the future. However, we understand that this exercise of configuration and reconfiguration of the social world would have to create chances so that educating not only makees contact of a set of formadoras historical information of a collective memory, but also if it appropriates of a set of proper concepts of sciences human beings, as well as of a series of proper procedures technician for the agreement of the relations and social institutions. In such way we consider that the resume contemporary for disciplines pertaining to school history would have to work with these three orders to know: the historical information, the proper concepts of sciences human beings and the procedures of collection and organization of social data.

Contudo, entendemos que este exercício de configuração e reconfiguração do mundo social deveria criar oportunidades para que o educando tome contato não apenas de um conjunto de informações históricas formadoras de uma memória coletiva, mas também se aproprie de um conjunto de conceitos próprios das ciências humanas, bem como de uma série de procedimentos técnicos próprios para o entendimento das relações e instituições sociais.
