Resumo: Considering educational policy as one of the public policies, we intend to identify the influences of the speeches of two national educators, Fernando de Azevedo and Anísio Teixeira, within the scope of educational policy. These authors, at different times, defended, respectively, the centralization and decentralization of governmental action in the educational sphere, and had their proposals in evidence, related to the concept of nationalism / internationalism of the implemented economic policy.
