Grammar practice in elementary school: how to search

Resumo: | In this study we intend to discuss the difference between the speech and the writing and the use of the grammar at the service of these within the classroom. Our theoretical basis follows the works of the subsequent scholars of Education and Linguistics: Bagno, Faraco, Geraldi, Goulart, Koch, Luft, Luzio, Orlandi and Possenti. The search will be developed with bibliographical research and with fieldwork in a classroom of eighth grade of elementary school in a public school. We shall analyze the work done by students, basing ourselves on these to discuss the issues raised by the confrontation between the standard cultural norms against the colloquial speech, then observing how students use the grammar. Even because, during our research, we found that students had knowledge of the difference between speech and writing, while demonstrating not enough tact with the forms of grammar consultation; it’s because they do not know how to manipulate the grammar, so they become dependent students and they always need the teacher to know how to tell them the rules, in a way that they are not able to accomplish an autonomous research. |

Para o embasamento teórico do trabalho foram utilizados os seguintes autores: Bagno, Faraco, Lúzio e Possenti. A pesquisa será bibliográfica e com pesquisa de campo em uma sala de aula do oitavo ano do ensino fundamental de uma escola municipal. Analisaremos os trabalhos realizados pelos alunos, baseando-se nestes para discutir à questão da norma culta padrão e como os discentes utilizam à gramática.
