Resumo: In Brazil, microentrepreneurs autonomous practiced their dealings informally for not having access to formality until 2008. After the Microentrepreneur Law, without much bureaucracy, this social group has obtained the right to formalize their economic and social guarantees or fundamental rights, such as maternity aid, sickness aid, and retirement, among others. The objective of the research is to analyze whether or not there was the microenterprise individual development of records, after being provided access to formality. The specific objectives, after contextualize popular economy, are: (i) to understand the formal and informal microenterprise business relations, and (ii) to indicate which are the main economic activities developed by microentrepreneurs in Brazil after their formalization. The research methodology has two approaches: (i) theoretical, and (ii) secondary data, with the time frame of the survey covering the years 2010-2013 and including spatial data representative of the 27 Brazilian States.

Após a promulgação da Lei do Microempreendedor, sem muita burocracia, esta categoria de sujeitos de direito obteve o direito à formalização do exercício de suas atividades econômicas e a garantia alguns direitos fundamentais sociais, como: auxílio maternidade; auxílio doença; aposentadoria, entre outros. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar se ocorreu ou não o desenvolvimento dos registros de microempreendedor individual, após ter sido disponibilizado o acesso a formalidade. Os objetivos específicos, após contextualizar economia popular, são: (i) compreender as relações negociais informais e formais do microempreendedor; e (ii) indicar quais são as principais atividades econômicas desenvolvidas pelos microempreendedores no Brasil após a sua formalização. A metodologia de pesquisa tem duas abordagens: (i) teórica; e (ii) de dados secundários, com o recorte temporal da pesquisa abrangendo os anos de 2010 a 2013 e o espacial inclui os dados representativos dos 27 Estado brasileiros.
