The landscape and heritage as tourist attractions: Coffee Route - north of Paraná

Resumo: The Coffee Route, a touristic route created in 2009 which covers seven cities in north of Paraná, makes it possible to rescue coffee importance for those who had lived at the height of coffee culture and also for those who did not experience it, but have certain affectivity in memory, such as family history, for example, being a way to educate for valorizing patrimony and memory. This research has as central question to discover how what still exists of coffee culture in landscape and in memory (material and immaterial heritage) marks or can mark tourism of local base in North of Paraná. This paper has as main objective to analyze and to understand the importance of landscape and of heritage as touristic attraction in Coffee Route - North of Paraná, dismembering itself in specific objectives: to verify how touristic activity planning, development and management took place in Coffee Route and also the effects of these actions on landscapes; to analyze Coffee Route landscapes and its links with local heritage and also linked to coffee culture history, and to investigate the most significant elements in related landscapes. Considering the nature of this theme, fieldwork has been essential, combined to bibliographical research. In field, observation was made, landscapes were photographed and those responsible for associated enterprises were interviewed, besides other people involved with Route structuring. These procedures were important for approximation with study object and to produce empirical information, analyzed through geographical theory. In case of enterprises associated to Coffee Route, the re-signification of coffee memories is not only relevant for construction of North-Paraná identity, but also allows the development of tourism activity linked to cultural attractions in those cities that have in their origins links to coffee. It is understood, then, that touristic activity can provide cultural enrichment through contact between different realities, in sensations, experiences, environments and landscapes, that is, in different experiences from habitual ones.

Esta investigación tiene como eje central descubrir en qué medida lo que ha sobrado de la cultura cafetera en el paisaje y en la memoria (patrimonio material e inmaterial) marca o puede marcar el turismo de base local en el Norte de Paraná. El presente trabajo tuvo como objetivo principal analizar y comprender la importancia del paisaje y del patrimonio como atractivo turístico en la Ruta del Café – Norte de Paraná, y como objetivos específicos: averiguar de qué forma ocurrió el planeamiento, el desarrollo y la gestión de la actividad turística en la Ruta del Café y los efectos de esas acciones en los paisajes; analizar los paisajes de la Ruta del Café y sus vínculos con el patrimonio local relacionado a la historia de la cultura cafetera e investigar cuáles son los elementos más significativos en los paisajes relacionados. En razón de la naturaleza de la temática, el trabajo de campo fue fundamental, en conjunto con la investigación bibliográfica. En el trabajo de campo, se realizó observación, se fotografiaron los paisajes y se entrevistaron los responsables de las empresas asociadas y los demás involucrados con la reestructuración de la Ruta. Esos procedimientos fueron importantes para el acercamiento al objeto de estudio y la producción de información empírica, analizada a la luz de la teoría geográfica. Relativo a las empresas asociadas a la Ruta, la resignificación de las memorias del café no solo es relevante a la construcción de la identidad de los ciudadanos del Norte de Paraná, sino que posibilita el desarrollo de la actividad turística vinculada a los atractivos culturales de los municipios de la región que tienen en sus raíces vínculos con el café. Se comprende, por lo tanto, que la actividad turística puede propiciar el enriquecimiento cultural a través del contacto entre distintas realidades en las sensaciones, experiencias, los entornos y paisajes, o sea, en la vivencia distinta de la habitual.A Rota do Café, uma rota turística criada em 2009 que abrange sete municípios do norte do Paraná, possibilita a rememoração do café para quem viveu o auge da cultura cafeeira e também para os que não a vivenciaram, mas possuem certa afetividade na memória, pela história familiar, por exemplo, sendo uma forma de educar para a valorização do patrimônio e da memória. Esta pesquisa tem como questão central descobrir em que medida o que sobrou da cafeicultura na paisagem e na memória (patrimônio material e imaterial) marca ou pode marcar o turismo de base local no Norte do Paraná. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo principal analisar e compreender a importância da paisagem e do patrimônio como atrativo turístico na Rota do Café - norte do Paraná, desmembrando-se nos seguintes objetivos específicos: averiguar de que forma ocorreu o planejamento, o desenvolvimento e a gestão da atividade turística na Rota do Café e os efeitos destas ações nas paisagens; analisar as paisagens da Rota do Café e seus vínculos com o patrimônio local ligado à história da cultura cafeeira e investigar quais os elementos mais significativos nas paisagens relacionadas. Tendo em vista a natureza do tema, o trabalho de campo foi fundamental, junto com a pesquisa bibliográfica. No campo foi realizada a observação, as paisagens foram fotografadas e entrevistaram-se os responsáveis pelos empreendimentos associados e os demais envolvidos com a estruturação da Rota. Estes procedimentos foram importantes para a aproximação com o objeto de estudo e para a produção de informação empírica, analisada então à luz da teoria geográfica. No caso dos empreendimentos associados à Rota a ressignificação das memórias do café não é apenas relevante para a construção da identidade dos norte-paranaenses, mas também possibilita o desenvolvimento da atividade turística vinculada aos atrativos culturais dos municípios da região que têm em suas raízes os vínculos com o café.
