The social protagonism of human rights defenders in the complex humanitarian emergency in Venezuela: an analysis of the documents of the Centro para los Defensores y la Justicia

Resumo: Objective: The object of analysis of this research focuses on documents from Centro para los Defensores y la Justicia (CDJ), a non-governmental organization that was created in Venezuela, in 2018, aiming to promote and protect human rights and democratic institutions in that Country. From this perspective, this research aimed to analyze documents that register aspects of memory and protagonism of human rights defenders who are part of the CDJ in Venezuela, in the light of theoretical assumptions of information mediation. Methodology: About the methodological aspects, the study is characterized as descriptive, in which the documental method was adopted, which supported the survey and analysis of significant information materialized in documents belonging to the CDJ. Results: The results show that the members of the CDJ promote the construction of spaces for interaction between subjects that enhance the sharing of information and provoke questions, ideas and movements around taking action and confronting the social moment experienced. Conclusions: It is verified that the documents presented can be understood as representative of the memory and identity of the defenders of the CDJ that reveal the pursuit for the rights of the Venezuelan people. The agents demonstrate a leading behavior when facing the adversities of Venezuela's complex humanitarian emergency and by promoting collective action and access to information.

Desde esta perspectiva, esta investigación tuvo como objetivo analizar documentos que registran aspectos de la memoria y el protagonismo de los defensores de derechos humanos que forman parte del CDJ en Venezuela, a la luz de los supuestos teóricos de la mediación de la información. Metodología: En cuanto a los aspectos metodológicos, el estudio se caracteriza como descriptivo, en el cual se adoptó el método documental, que sustenta el relevamiento y análisis de información significativa materializada en documentos pertenecientes a la CDJ. Resultados: Los resultados muestran que los integrantes del CDJ fomentan la construcción de espacios de interacción entre los sujetos que potencian el intercambio de información y provocan interrogantes, ideas y movimientos en torno a la acción y el afrontamiento del momento social vivido. Conclusiones: Se constata que los documentos presentados pueden entenderse como representativos de la memoria e identidad de los defensores de la CDJ que revelan la búsqueda de los derechos del pueblo venezolano. Los agentes demuestran un comportamiento protagónico frente a las adversidades de la compleja emergencia humanitaria de Venezuela y al promover la acción colectiva y el acceso a la información.Objetivo: O objeto de análise desta pesquisa centra-se nos documentos provenientes do Centro para los Defensores y la Justicia (CDJ), organização não governamental que foi criada na Venezuela, em 2018, visando promover e defender os direitos humanos e as instituições democráticas daquele País. Nessa perspectiva, esta pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar documentos que registram aspectos de memória e do protagonismo dos defensores dos direitos humanos que integram o CDJ da Venezuela, à luz dos pressupostos teóricos da mediação da informação. Metodologia: Quanto aos aspectos metodológicos, o estudo se caracteriza como descritivo, em que foi adotado o método documental, que subsidiou o levantamento e a análise de informações significativas materializadas em documentos pertencentes ao CDJ. Resultados: Os resultados evidenciam que os integrantes do CDJ fomentam a construção de espaços de interação entre os sujeitos que potencializam o compartilhamento de informações e provocam questionamentos, ideias e movimentos em torno da tomada de atitude e enfrentamento do momento social vivenciado. Conclusões: Constata-se que os documentos apresentados podem ser compreendidos como representativos da memória e identidade dos defensores do CDJ que transparecem a busca pelos direitos do povo venezuelano.
