Resumo: Objective: To analyze the scientific production on Person with Disabilities in Information Science, in order to draw a panorama of authors, research groups, and citations received by researchers from other areas in order to assess the potential for the formation of interdisciplinary research groups that can better qualify the training of professionals for the management of more inclusive information devices. Methodology: exploratory study conducted in three stages that include the collection of data on scientific production; analysis of research groups that deal with the theme and study of citations received by authors of Information Science. Results: the concern with the rights of people with disabilities has been present in Information Science in the period analyzed, but associated with the need to provide adequate infrastructure to meet the legislation, but it is observed the absence of the person with disabilities in research that deals with the work of information professionals. The study of citations shows a network of information exchange between different areas and Information Science, especially Education, with research on inclusive education, with discussions on user studies and cognitive ergonomics, context analysis, design, availability, accessibility and usability of information. Conclusions: there is potential to expand scientific cooperation between Information Science and other areas of knowledge, for better qualification of professional training focused on the social inclusion of people with disabilities.
