Cultural mediation and reading mediation in Yerko Tabilo musical performances

Resumo: Objective: analyze Yerko Tabilo’s perceptions about his contributions as an agent of cultural mediation and reading mediation in the development of his musical performances.Methodology: this is a descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, whose method adopted was the case study and data collection, which took place through documental and bibliographic analysis associated with the interview carried out with the musician Yerko Tabilo.Results: with this investigative trajectory, it was found that Yerko Tabilo can be considered a mediating agent, since he contributed significantly to the cultural construction process of other instrumentalists, collaborating for a (re)reading about themselves, the other and their socio-cultural context that strengthens identity traits through musical performances.Conclusion: musical performances stimulate the attribution of meanings and promote the resignification and autonomy of readers and mediators, providing the reach of social protagonism.
