Roses of lead: from censorship and secrecy to access the documents of the brazilian dictatorship

Introduction: It presupposes a relationship between the censorship of confidential documents in the brazilian dictatorial period and its current vestiges recovered and mediated by the National Truth Commission. It establishes, from the Librarianship field, this relation by analogy with the work 'The Name of the Rose', content studied and analyzed in the courses of the field. It understands that this debate alludes to the relevance of this documentation as a record that preserves and constitutes the brazilian memory and identity. Objective: To expose and debate, from the Librarianship field, on some elements that characterized the control and access of information of confidential documents in the brazilian dictatorship. Methodology: Used as a methodological procedure both the bibliographic review in specialized literature and the analysis of documents through electronic contents. Results: From the exhibition and the debate on the proposed theme, it emphasizes the social role of the Librarianship field, as well as the mediator role of the librarian with respect to the challenge offered by the confidential documents of the brazilian dictatorial period. The challenge is a progressive study plan, documentary analysis and its dissemination. Conclusion: Verified the need for the topic to be more discussed in the area. It suggests the permanent elaboration of public policies directed to the theme valorizing the national identity and memory.
