Resumo: | I present a report of collaborative and participative research developed in the Departamento de Letras of UFSCar. The research has involved indigenous undergraduate students, once the university has got an Affirmative Action Program and the enrollment of indigenous students inside a differentiated program. This report involves: reflection on the form of indigenous undergraduate students begin and continue their academic studies at UFSCar, when compared to the way it exists in a Canadian university with which we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding; reports on studies of Amerindian Literature and their importance in the empowering process; report on an innovative course of English for indigenous students. |

Trago relato a respeito de pesquisa de perfil colaborativo e participativo que venho empreendendo junto ao Departamento de Letras da UFSCar. A pesquisa tem envolvido graduandos indígenas, já que a universidade em pauta conta com o Programa de Ações Afirmativas e com a existência de vestibular diferenciado para indígenas. Este relato envolve: reflexão sobre a forma de ingresso e permanência de graduandos indígenas na UFSCar, comparando com algumas características presentes em universidade canadense com a qual firmamos recentemente Memorando de Entendimento; relato sobre estudos em Literatura Ameríndia e sua pertinência no processo de empoderamento; relato de curso inovador de Inglês para estudantes indígenas.
