STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT’S LEARNING PROCESS CONSIDERATIONS

Resumo: | This dissertation focused the education of the future administrators, their skills and appropriate use of knowledge acquired in the course, Strategic Management course, aimed at increasing consistency of theory and practice. Topics that leaded to the present study were based on the guidelines of discipline and the assumptions of the constructivist approach of teaching and learning. The objectives were raising the main indicators regarding the importance of the discipline’s content in a real company, survey indicators of what students think about the applicability of strategic management in companies which they operate and make inferences about processes of learning. A total of ten individuals, aged between 20 and 50 years, eight of them attending the 8th period and both the 7th period of Business Administration in a private college of the metropolitan region of Sao Paulo. A semistructured roadmap interview, developed for this purpose, was used as an auxiliary instrument. Collected data was processed by the procedures of content analysis technique. The results presented a positive identification with the content learned in the classroom and its application in business. However, the relationship between learning and application is non-systematic, and most of the concepts applied in a specific time-frame manner, according to the needs of each organization in that given period. Regarding the relation of discipline’s teaching and learning, students suggested more dynamic classes with presentations of study cases as an additional learning resource. The research shall enhance a reflection on the direction of the contents that have been taught, as well as ideal ways for learning |

As questões norteadoras do estudo tiveram como base as diretrizes da disciplina e os pressupostos da abordagem construtivista de ensino e aprendizagem. Os objetivos foram: levantar os principais indicadores a respeito da importância do conteúdo da disciplina no dia-adia da empresa; levantar indicadores sobre o que pensam os alunos a respeito da aplicabilidade da Administração Estratégica nas empresas em que atuam e fazer inferências a respeito dos processos de aprendizagem dos conteúdos da disciplina. Participaram dez sujeitos, com idades entre 20 e 50 anos, oito deles cursando o 8º período e dois o 7º período de Administração de Empresas, de uma faculdade particular, da região metropolitana de São Paulo. Utilizou-se como instrumento um roteiro de entrevista semi-estruturada, desenvolvido para esta finalidade. Os dados coletados foram tratados pelos procedimentos de análise de conteúdo. Os resultados mostraram uma identificação positiva com os conteúdos aprendidos em sala de aula e a sua aplicação nas empresas. No entanto, essa relação entre aprendizagem e aplicação é assistemática, sendo a maioria dos conceitos aplicados de forma pontual, de acordo com as necessidades de momento em cada uma das organizações. Em relação ao ensino-aprendizagem da disciplina, os alunos sugeriram aulas dinâmicas com apresentação de estudos de caso como recurso de aprendizagem.
