TIME IN PRODUCTION IN EDUCATION: REFLECTIONS AT/FROM SCHOOL

Resumo: In order to review the implications of time conceptions at/from school, a state of the art was done about time in production in Education. The productions that were surveyed and analyzed included dissertations and theses produced by the Post-Graduation Programs in Education in Brazil, which are part of CAPES Test Base; articles that were published in Education journals available at SciELO and works presented at ANPEd Meetings,considering productions in the last 5 years (2003-2007) available from these agencies. From the study of the productions under research four great themes were organized: time conceptions, school time, teacher’s time and full time. Reflections based on the survey confirm the premise that time is the result of a long learning process that affects social constitution as a whole.  School is also affected by time conceptions. In Education, productions about time indicate that the linear time conception still predominates school, where time is demarcated by the clock and calendars regulate its organization. However, they point to the experiencing of a  real time, problematizing the linearity that is implicit in the space-time organization at/from school.

However, they point to the experiencing of a  real time, problematizing the linearity that is implicit in the space-time organization at/from school.Com o intuito de pensar  as implicações das concepções de tempo na/da escola, realizou-se um estado da arte sobre o tempo na produção em educação. As produções inventariadas e analisadas foram as dissertações e teses produzidas nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação do Brasil, que fazem parte do Banco de Teses da CAPES; os artigos publicados nos periódicos da área de educação disponíveis no SciELO e os trabalhosapresentados nas Reuniões da ANPEd, considerando a produção dos últimos cinco anos (2003-2007) disponíveis nestas agências. A partir do estudo das produções pesquisadas foram organizadas quatro grandes temáticas: concepções de tempo, tempo escolar, tempo do professor  e tempo integral. As reflexões feitas a partir do inventário realizado confirmam a premissa de que o tempo é resultado de um longo processo de aprendizagem que afeta a constituição social como um todo. A escola também é afetada pelas concepções de tempo. As produções em educação sobre o tempo dão indícios de que a concepção linear de tempo ainda predomina  na escola, sendo o tempo demarcado pelo relógio e calendários o regulador da sua organização.
