Resumo: | Current paper partially returns to the research, concluded in 2012, about the association practices of theindigenous people xakriabá. The analysis were focused on the subjects participation in the preparation,setting up and management of social projects. Meetings (as local spaces for the performance of activities) areanalyzed with regard to power relationships, external mediations to communities in their contact with contactwith the agents involved. The subjects´ participation way is delineated and experienced from conceptsproduced in their relationships with the local power, although these concepts are part of the movementtriggered by associativism and social projects. |

O artigo retoma parcialmente uma pesquisa concluída em 2012, na qual foram investigadas práticas de associativismo do povo indígena Xakriabá, focalizando a participação dos sujeitos na elaboração, implantação e gestão dos projetos sociais. Foram tomadas para análise as reuniões (enquanto espaços locais de condução das atividades), explorando as relações de poder, as mediações exteriores às comunidades nos contatos com os diferentes agentes envolvidos e a presença da escrita. Constatou-se que a forma e participação dos sujeitos é delineada e vivenciada, dentre outros fatores, a partir das concepções engendradas nas relações de poder local, sendo que elas mesmas fazem parte do movimento provocado pelo associativismo e pelos projetos sociais.
