CONTINUING EDUCATION AND ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY: A STUDY BASED ON THE MULTIFUNCTIONAL RESOURCE ROOMS TEACHERS' CONCEPTIONS

Resumo: The presence of students with disabilities in regular teaching classes has required teachers to have specific training in Assistive Technology (AT). From 2013 to 2016, University X, in partnership with the agency responsible for Special Education in a city in the southeastern region, developed a research aimed at the continuous training of teachers to work in the Multifunctional Resource Rooms (MRR). The aim of the study was to describe the conceptions of MRR teachers from city X about the continuing education received in AT. The study that used qualitative methodology was developed in X and in some MRR. Interviews were conducted with the eighteen participating MRR teachers. In addition to the semi-structured interview script, a field diary, audio recordings and filming were used. The results showed that the training of teachers to work in the MRR with this student is important for the implementation of AT resources and services.

De 2013 a 2016, la Universidad X, en alianza con la agencia responsable de Educación Especial en una ciudad de la región sureste, desarrolló una investigación dirigida a la formación continua de docentes para trabajar en las Salas de Recursos Multifuncionales (SRM). El objetivo del estudio fue describir las concepciones de los profesores de SRM del municipio X sobre la formación continua recibida en TA. El estudio que utilizó metodología cualitativa se desarrolló en X y en algunos SRM. Se realizaron entrevistas con los dieciocho profesores de SRM participantes. Además del guión de la entrevista semiestructurada, se utilizó un diario de campo, grabaciones de audio y filmaciones. Los resultados mostraron que la formación de los docentes para trabajar en el SRM con este alumno es importante para la implementación de los recursos y servicios de TA.A presença de alunos com deficiência nas classes comuns de ensino tem exigido dos professores formação específica em Tecnologia Assistiva (TA). De 2013 a 2016 a Universidade X, em parceria com o órgão responsável pela Educação Especial em uma cidade da região sudeste, desenvolveu uma pesquisa visando à formação continuada de docentes para atuar nas Salas de Recursos Multifuncionais (SRM). O objetivo do estudo foi descrever as concepções de professoras de SRM do município X acerca da formação continuada recebida em TA. O estudo que empregou metodologia qualitativa foi desenvolvido no X e em algumas SRM. Foram realizas entrevistas com as dezoito professoras de SRM participantes. Além do roteiro de entrevista semiestruturado, utilizou-se diário de campo, gravações de áudio e filmagens.
