Journey of work, lifestyle and teaching performance in the current law education

Resumo: The brazilian Law education has been involved under severe criticism by many factors. Among those are the papers of university professors who need to be aware of their teaching practices to improve the construction of knowledge. The objective of this research is to evaluate the journey of work by university teachers of law education through correlations between indicators of performance in the academic environment and their lifestyle. This is a descriptive research with a quantitative approach and crosscutting. The research approaches 20 of the 24 teachers that teach in the Law Course of a private institution of Bahia southwest. We used questionnaires in the field of study, the Monisa UESC, which aims to monitor health indicators and quality of life adapted for teachers and a questionnaire developed by UFRN for evaluation of the academic community from this institution. All statistical tests were performing in SPSS, version 20.0, by frequencies, percentages and correlations. It found that there were correlations between the lifestyle of teachers and their academic performance compared between working hours, however, some discrepancies were noted. Multiple working hours may reflect the quality of life and therefore in the self performance of the professors that seeks to adapt to this new capital-labor relationship.

Multiple working hours may reflect the quality of life and therefore in the self performance of the professors that seeks to adapt to this new capital-labor relationship.  La enseñanza jurídica brasileña viene sufriendo severas críticas por innumerables factores, entre ellos podemos citar el papel del profesor universitario el cual necesita estar atento a sus prácticas pedagógicas a fin de perfeccionar la construcción del conocimiento. El objetivo de la investigación es evaluar las jornadas de trabajo de los docentes universitarios de la enseñanza jurídica correlacionando los indicativos de su rendimiento en el ambiente académico y de su estilo de vida por ellos determinados. Se trata de una investigación descriptiva, con enfoque cuantitativo y de carácter transversal. La investigación fue realizada con 20 de los 24 docentes graduados en Derecho que enseñan en el mismo curso de una Institución de Bahía. Se utilizaron dos cuestionarios, el Monisa de la UESC, que evalúa los indicadores de salud y calidad de vida, y un cuestionario desarrollado por la UFRN que está en la evaluación de la comunidad académica de esta institución. Todas las pruebas estadísticas se realizaron en el programa SPSS, versión 20.0. Se verificó que hay correlaciones entre el estilo de vida de los docentes y su rendimiento académico cuando se compara entre las jornadas de trabajo, sin embargo, algunas discrepancias también se notaron. Las jornadas múltiples de trabajo pueden reflejar en la calidad de vida y consecuentemente en el propio desempeño del docente que, así, procura adecuarse a esa nueva exigencia capital-trabajo.O ensino jurídico brasileiro tem sofrido severas críticas por inúmeros fatores, dentre eles podemos citar o papel do professor universitário o qual precisa estar atento às suas práticas pedagógicas para de aprimorar a construção do conhecimento. O objetivo da pesquisa é avaliar as jornadas de trabalho dos docentes universitários do ensino jurídico correlacionando os indicativos de seu desempenho no ambiente acadêmico e do seu estilo de vida por eles determinados. Trata-se de uma pesquisa descritiva, com abordagem quantitativa e de caráter transversal. A pesquisa foi realizada com 20 dos 24 docentes graduados em Direito que lecionam no mesmo curso de uma Instituição da Bahia. Foram utilizados dois questionários, o Monisa da UESC, que avalia os indicadores de saúde e qualidade de vida, e um questionário desenvolvido pela UFRN que consta na avaliação da comunidade acadêmica desta instituição. Todos os testes estatísticos foram realizados no programa SPSS, versão 20.0. Verificou-se que existem correlações entre o estilo de vida dos docentes e o seu desempenho acadêmico quando comparado entre as jornadas de trabalho, contudo, algumas discrepâncias também foram notadas.
