Resumo: This review aims to present the work “Portuguese in the 21st century: Geopolitical and sociolinguistic scenario, by the scholar and linguist Luiz Paulo de Moita Lopes, published in 2013, by Editora Parábola. This work has 13 chapters, in addition to the preface by Prof. José Luiz Fiorin and the introduction by Moita Lopes, in which the proposal is to “theorize Portuguese”, as highlighted by Lopes (2013), that is, to think of different epistemologies that can better understand the language, the passage of time- language, the changes that have taken place in the field of language, above all, the border and cybernetic spaces arising from globalization.

Esta obra cuenta con 13 capítulos, además del prólogo del Prof. José Luiz Fiorin y la introducción de Moita Lopes, en la que la propuesta es “teorizar el portugués”, como destaca Lopes (2013), o sea, pensar en diferentes epistemologías que puedan comprender mejor la lengua, el paso del tiempo-lenguaje. , los cambios que se han producido en el campo del lenguaje, sobre todo, los espacios fronterizos y cibernéticos derivados de la globalización.  Cette revue vise à présenter l'ouvrage « Le portugais au XXIe siècle : Scénario géopolitique et sociolinguistique », du savant et linguiste Luiz Paulo de Moita Lopes, publié en 2013, par Editora Parábola. Cet ouvrage comporte 13 chapitres, en plus de la préface du Prof. José Luiz Fiorin et l'introduction de Moita Lopes, dans laquelle la proposition est de « théoriser le portugais », comme le souligne Lopes (2013), c'est-à-dire de penser à différentes épistémologies qui permettent de mieux comprendre la langue, le passage du temps-langue , les changements intervenus dans le domaine de la langue, surtout la frontière et les espaces cybernétiques issus de la mondialisation.Esta resenha objetiva apresentar a obra O português no século XXI: Cenário geopolítico e sociolinguístico, do estudioso e linguista Luiz Paulo de Moita Lopes, publicada em 2013, pela Editora Parábola.
