Resumo: This article summarizes part of a research work supported by CNPq-Pibic developed from August 1955 to July 1996 called “Teachers in the formation of teachers: a study on motivation of teachers and learners in the Teachers’ Training Course”. The motivations of pupils and teachers of a government Teachers’ Training Course in Maringá (PR) were analyzed.
