Resumo: This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of liquid slaughterhouse effluent (LSE) on values of total dry mass, leaf area index, culture growth rate, total tiller number and weight, plant height and the levels of N, P and K+ in plant tissue of the pasture Marandu grass in Entisol. Three levels of LSE (37.5, 75 and 112.5 m³ ha-1) were applied, as well as a control. The experimental design was completely randomized blocks. The total dry mass production of leaf area index, culture growth rate, tiller number and weight and plant height increased linearly (p < 0.05) with increasing levels of LSE. The levels of N, P and K+ responded according to a linear regression model (p < 0.05) with application of LSE. The concentration of N was in the range suitable for Marandu grass. The levels of P and K+, in spite of the positive response to LSE doses, were lower than the adequate rate of variation in the plant tissue of Marandu grass.

The levels of P and K+, in spite of the positive response to LSE doses, were lower than the adequate rate of variation in the plant tissue of Marandu grass.Este experimento foi realizado com o objetivo de avaliar o efeito da aplicação de resíduo líquido de frigorífico (RLF) sobre os valores da massa seca total, índice de área foliar, taxa de crescimento cultural, número total e peso médio de perfilhos, altura de plantas e nos teores de N, P e K+ no tecido vegetal da pastagem de capim-Marandu em Neossolo Quartzarênico Órtico. Foram aplicadas três doses de RLF (37,5; 75 e 112,5 m³ha-1), além da testemunha. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi em blocos inteiramente casualizados. A produção de massa seca total, o índice de área foliar, taxa de crescimento cultural, o número e peso médio de perfilhos bem como a altura de plantas aumentaram linearmente (p < 0,05) com as doses crescentes de RLF. Os teores de N, P e K+ tiveram resposta segundo modelo de regressão linear (p < 0,05) com aplicação de RLF. A concentração de N ficou na faixa adequada para o capim-Marandu.
