Resumo: | This paper aims to stress the nature of the human body in the context of contemporary Brazilian social relationships with especial regard to treatment in the educational, health and labor systems. The relationship between the human body as the scientific object of different fields of knowlege and the human body as a human and social being reveals the contractions compatible with present-day rules, but disastrous to the individual human being. The complex subject raises questions on the pedagogic aims of physical education. |

A relação entre o corpo humano como objeto científico de diferentes campos do conhecimento e o corpo humano como Ser Humano e Social revela-se em contradições coerentes com as regras de nosso tempo, embora nefastas para o Homem.
