Resumo: A practical experience at the Centro de Aplicações Pedagógicas (Teachers’Training Centre) of the Universidade Estadual de Maringá was developed, in the educational field, chiefly in Physical Education and the problems attibuited to it. The experiment was undertaken with children of 8th form. It tried to give an awareness about necessities and possibilities of movements so that certain resistances hindering themes to linked to sport’s cultural roots colud be overcome. The body expression in Dancing at school is hindered by social, cultural and pedagogical resistances. The latter are part of the person’s life and in many circumstances render difficult his/her the degree of reflexions trough the commitment of teachers to the culture of movements in all their aspects.

The latter are part of the person’s life and in many circumstances render difficult his/her the degree of reflexions trough the commitment of teachers to the culture of movements in all their aspects.Visando contribuições à área educacional, principalmente no que se refere à Educação Física e às problemáticas a ela atribuídas, desenvolveu-se uma experiência prática no Centro de Aplicações Pedagógicas da Universidade Estadual de Maringá, com uma turma de 8ª série, buscando contribuir para uma conscientização acerca das necessidades e possibilidades de movimento, no sentido de vencer determinadas resistências que dificultam o trabalho de conteúdos não ligados às raízes culturais esportivas. Concretizada a experiência, pôde-se perceber que a expressão dos corpos pela dança na escola é dificultada pelas resistências sociais, culturais e pedagógicas que são parte da vida dos indivíduos e que inviabilizam muitas vezes o acesso a tais conhecimentos.
