The inclusion of obese children: a challenge to the Physical Education

Resumo: The existence of different kind of bodies is natural, but human being change this difference as a subject turned on arrogance and prepotency. The school and classes of Physical Education are places where these meetings are real. However, the school education needs put its practices in values which transcend this kind of behavior prioritizing ethical values turned on life. In this perspective, this article presents how the human relations occur when an obese child faces a Physical Education class as well as the entire school environment. The human body is placed in a critical perspective against its uses and meanings in the current reality at the society and in the values of the market ideology. Based on this perspective, this study aimed to understand how the coexistence facing an obese body interferes in the habit construction of the students in their relationship in the world and with other persons.

A escola e as aulas de Educação Física são locais onde estes encontros se concretizam; porém a educação escolar precisa pautar suas práticas em valores que transcendam tal comportamento, primando por valores éticos que radicalizem em favor da vida. Com essa perspectiva este artigo apresenta os modos como se dão as relações quanto ao convívio da criança obesa nas aulas de Educação Física bem como em todo o ambiente escolar. Coloca-se o corpo numa perspectiva crítica ante os seus usos e significados na atual conjuntura da sociedade e diante dos valores da ideologia de mercado.
