PERCEPTION OF ADMINISTRATION STUDENTS ABOUT THE APPLICATION OF A WEBQUEST

Resumo: | With the advent of digital technologies, it has become easier to stimulate the classroom. Thus, some alternatives to transform the academic environment into a dynamic space for sharing knowledge emerge, with WebQuest being one of these alternatives. However, it becomes relevant to investigate students' perception of such teaching and learning methodologies, including in higher education. In view of this, we seek to answer the question: What is the perception of students of the Administration course on the application of WebQuest? In this sense, the objective of this study was to present the perception of students of the Administration course at the Federal University of Sergipe, Itabaiana campus, regarding the use of the WebQuest methodology in the subject of Accounting Applied to Administration I, to learn the content "History of Accounting”. To this end, a qualitative, applied, descriptive research was carried out, with data collection in the field. It was noticed that, in general, the students were satisfied with the presentation of the WebQuest, understanding the task that should be performed. In addition, most students considered their learning satisfactory. They were able to connect the topic studied with others of the subject, demonstrating the relevance of WebQuest for a meaningful learning process. The study in question contributes as it presents the application of an active methodology in higher education, highlighting its potential for a teaching and learning process more aligned with the context in which students are inserted. |

Assim, surgem propostas de transformar o ambiente acadêmico em um espaço dinâmico, de compartilhamento de saberes, sendo a WebQuest uma dessas propostas. No entanto, torna-se relevante investigar a percepção dos estudantes sobre tais metodologias de ensino e aprendizagem, inclusive no ensino superior. Diante disso, procura-se responder ao questionamento: Qual a percepção de estudantes do curso de administração sobre a aplicação de WebQuest? Nesse sentido, o objetivo deste estudo foi apresentar a percepção de estudantes do curso de administração da Universidade Federal de Sergipe, no campus de Itabaiana, quanto ao uso da metodologia WebQuest na disciplina de Contabilidade Aplicada à Administração I, para aprendizagem do conteúdo “História da Contabilidade”. Para tal, realizou-se uma pesquisa qualitativa, aplicada, descritiva e com coleta de dados em campo. Percebeu-se que, de uma forma geral, os estudantes ficaram satisfeitos com a forma apresentação da WebQuest, compreendendo a tarefa que deveria ser executada. Além disso, a maioria dos estudantes considerou satisfatória a sua aprendizagem. Ademais, os estudantes conseguiram conectar o assunto estudado com outros temas da disciplina, demonstrando a relevância da WebQuest para um processo de aprendizagem significativa.
