Resumo: At high school‟s level, Biology appears among the disciplines with a huge number of contents, being some of them presented as difficult to teach and understan, once they contain a large number of concepts and technical terms. In this research, we emphasized the importance of contents‟ approach through teaching by experimentation, because this didactical strategy is showed as an important contribution in learning and teaching process. This work contains the story of a didactical experience developed in school environment, whose general objective was the analysis of experimental classes‟ success in Celular Biochemistry contents‟ approach. The research was conducted in Monsignore José da Silva Coutinho State High School, which is located in the town of Esperança/PB. The instruments of data collection consisted of a questionnaire and an interview script. The data resulted through investigation received a descriptive- qualitative treatment. From the answers obtained from the questionnaires and interviews‟ transcriptions, it was categorized the themes spoken by the participants. The categorization was made using the thematical analysis described by Bardin (2011) as a tool. In the purpose of achieving the objectives proposed to this study, categories‟ analysis were built - previous knowledges, conceptual rebuilding, perception and comprehension. The results showed that, with the application of experimental classes, the students could rebuild concepts from previous knowledges. We observed a better comprehension of the students about Celular Biochemistry‟s contents. About the identification of food rich in carbohydrates, proteins and vitamins, we observed that, after this intervention, the students presented a broader largeness of examples. Through teaching by experimentation, we could observe a better comprehension of the students about vitamins, proteins and carbohydrates‟ functions. This work leads us to believe that teaching by experimentation presented as an important strategy in teaching Celular Biochemistry‟s contentes, contributing especially to conceptual rebuilding. The results obtained can contribute as a subside to continuous formation teachers‟s courses, taking as a basis the didactical experience developed in school environment.

Nesta pesquisa, enfatizamos a importância da abordagem dos conteúdos por meio do ensino por experimentação, uma vez que esta estratégia didática se mostra como uma importante contribuição no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Este trabalho traz o relato de uma experiência didática desenvolvida no âmbito escolar, cujo objetivo geral foi analisar o êxito das aulas experimentais na abordagem dos conteúdos de Bioquímica Celular. A pesquisa foi realizada na Escola Estadual de Ensino Médio Monsenhor José da Silva Coutinho, localizada na cidade de Esperança/PB. Os instrumentos de coleta de dados consistiram de um questionário e de um roteiro de entrevista. Os dados resultantes da investigação receberam tratamento qualitativo-descritivo. A partir das respostas dos questionários e das transcrições das entrevistas, foi realizada a categorização dos temas abordados pelos participantes. Tal categorização foi feita usando como ferramenta a análise temática descrita por Bardin (2011). No sentido de atingir aos objetivos propostos para este estudo, foram construídas categorias de análise – conhecimentos prévios; reconstrução conceitual; percepção e compreensão. Os resultados mostraram que, com a utilização das aulas experimentais, os alunos puderam reconstruir conceitos a partir dos conhecimentos prévios. Observamos uma melhor compreensão dos estudantes quanto aos conteúdos de Bioquímica Celular. Quanto à identificação dos alimentos ricos em carboidratos, proteínas e vitaminas, observamos que após a intervenção, os alunos explicitaram uma maior amplitude de exemplos. Através do ensino por experimentação, pudemos observar uma melhor compreensão dos estudantes quanto à função dos carboidratos, das proteínas e das vitaminas. Esse trabalho nos leva a crer que o ensino por experimentação se apresentou como uma importante estratégia no ensino dos conteúdos de Bioquímica Celular, inclusive contribuindo para a reconstrução conceitual.
