Resumo: Education routinely undergoes changes, with this teachers must always be up to date, so that they can adopt teaching methodologies capable of achieving the desired educational objective. This work aimed to rescue intergenerational knowledge and promote the scientific literacy of elderly students belonging to UATI, through the use of alternative experiments in teaching chemistry in the domestic kitchen theme. Concurrent with the Covid-19 pandemic, part of this research was carried out remotely through the Google platform, using Meet and Forms tools. This research is characterized as qualitative and has a pedagogical approach. The target audience was 12 female students aged between 62 and 74 years old from a class at the Open University for Senior Citizens (UATI) located in the city of Campina Grande - PB, working within the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG). UATI intends to welcome seniors to participate in the permanent extension course with several disciplines. The data collection instrument was based on the application of a questionnaire containing five questions, of which 4 were open and 1 closed, seeking to understand the perception of elderly students about Chemistry Teaching and the importance of home cooking in understanding scientific concepts. Data analysis was carried out following the theoretical contribution of Pêcheux, which deals with discourse analysis. According to the results obtained, it was possible to observe the importance of experimental practices for elderly students, as well as understand that education can take place in different environments. Bringing a theme focused on the apprentices' domestic cooking, such practices were designed to strengthen their scientific literacy and also showed that the kitchen as a space to develop a pedagogical intervention aimed at elderly students, promotes the development of scientific concepts of chemistry, providing changes significant in their learning and space for sharing intergenerational knowledge.

Esse trabalho teve como objetivo principal resgatar os saberes intergeracionais dos estudantes idosos pertencentes a UATI, através da utilização de experimentações alternativas no ensino de química na temática cozinha doméstica. Concomitante à pandemia da Covid-19, parte dessa pesquisa foi realizada de forma remota através da plataforma do Google, usando as ferramentas Meet e Forms. Essa pesquisa se caracteriza como qualitativa e possui abordagem pedagógica. O público alvo foram 12 estudantes do sexo feminino com idade entre 62 e 74 anos de uma turma da Universidade Aberta a Terceira Idade (UATI) localizada na cidade de Campina Grande - PB, funcionando dentro da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG). A UATI tem a intenção de acolher pessoas idosas para participar do curso de extensão permanente com diversas disciplinas. O instrumento de coleta de dados partiu da aplicação de um questionário contendo cinco questões, das quais 4 eram abertas e 1 fechada, buscando compreender a percepção dos estudantes idosas sobre o Ensino de Química e a importância da cozinha doméstica na compreensão dos conceitos científicos. A análise dos dados foi realizada seguindo o aporte teórico de Pêcheux, o qual vem tratar da análise do discurso. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, foi possível observar a importância das práticas experimentais para os estudantes idosos, bem como entender que a educação pode acontecer em diferentes ambientes.
