This work consistes in a research made from a teaching proposal addressing within the teaching of geometry the equilateral triangle, because It provides a rich context that can be widely explored. We know that geometry studies have paramount importance throughout the student’s educational experience on the regard to the knowledge needed for various areas. We also understand that the studies of geometry, in a more investigative way, already in basic education, provides a more coherent and effective knowledge for the student,in the sense of explication,contextualization,usefulness and mainly as a motivator agent of way to see the math. The objective of this research is to analyze the advanced aspects of the equilateral triangle, proposing the insertion of theorems properties through discussions using the demonstrations as motivators of barning and giving another perspective, which distances itself from the shape that this topic is seen no forgetting the role of the equilateral triangle in the history and how much this polygon is present very significantly in the main events of universal history. The equilateral triangle can be studied using only the rudiments of mathematics and there is a certain temptation to discard it as mathematically trivial, however, there are aspects of the equilateral triangle that are profound and incredible beautiful. Let’s explore in this work some of the many facets of this.
