Resumo: This article is the result of the research “Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem: project with and for truck drivers in the light of Paulo Freire’s legacy”, presented in the Graduate Program in Performing Arts at the Federal University of São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais, Brazil. From 2006 to 2016, the Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem helped to look at the social issues addressed in the plays presented to truck drivers at gas stations in the country with a cast of truck drivers as well. The theoretical framework is based on Paulo Freire, Bertolt Brecht and authors who discuss popular culture. The analysis of the plays was made in the light of the Freirean and Brechtian ideas, which revealed affinities between this popular and pedagogical theater project that discussed themes such as child violence and human rights, Paulo Freire’s ideas for a liberating education and Bertolt Brecht’s ideas about Epic and didactic Theater. Social issues.Este artículo es resultado de la investigación “Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem: projeto com e para caminhoneiros à luz do legado de Paulo Freire” (Teatro de la Caravana Siga Bien: proyecto con y para camioneros a la luz del legado de Paulo Freire), presentada en el Programa de Posgrado en Artes Escénicas de la Universidad Federal de São João del-Rei, Brasil. De 2006 a 2016, el Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem ayudó a ver las cuestiones sociales abordadas en los espectáculos que presentaba a los camioneros y las camioneras en las estaciones de servicio del país con un elenco también de camioneros y camioneras. El marco teórico se basa en Paulo Freire, Bertolt Brecht y autores que discuten la cultura popular. El análisis de los espectáculos fue realizado a la luz de las ideas freireanas y brechtianas, el cual reveló afinidades entre este proyecto de teatro popular y pedagógico, que discutía temas como violencia infantil y derechos humanos, y las ideas de Paulo Freire para una educación liberadora y de Bertolt Brecht sobre Teatro Épico y didáctico. Temáticas sociales.Este artigo é resultado da pesquisa “Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem: projeto com e para caminhoneiros à luz do legado de Paulo Freire”, apresentada no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Artes Cênicas da Universidade Federal de São João del-Rei, Minas Gerais. De 2006 a 2016, o Teatro da Caravana Siga Bem ajudou a olhar para as questões sociais abordadas nos espetáculos que apresentava para caminhoneiros e caminhoneiras em postos de combustível do país com um elenco também de caminhoneiros e caminhoneiras. O quadro teórico baseia-se em Paulo Freire, Bertolt Brecht e autores que discutem cultura popular. A análise dos espetáculos foi feita à luz das ideias freireanas e brechtianas, a qual revelou afinidades entre esse projeto de teatro popular e pedagógico, que discutia temas como violência infantil e direitos humanos, e as ideias de Paulo Freire para uma educação libertadora e de Bertolt Brecht sobre Teatro Épico e didático.
