Fascist neoliberal governmentality and the right to schooling

Resumo: | This text discusses the current configuration of a fascist neoliberal governmentality, which has kept principles from neoliberalism while putting into operation a kind of fascism that is both molar (state) and molecular (daily micro-fascisms). From that, the text problematizes the way that such governmentality has affected everyone’s right to schooling in the present time. Thus, homeschooling is analyzed through Bills now pending in the House of Deputies. Regarding the empirical material, two analytical movements have been pointed out: 1) the articulation of homeschooling with the neoliberal principles of individual freedom and accountability; 2) the constitution of exclusion as a right that triggers two processes: exclusion for otherness reclusion and exclusion for sameness protection. Finally, the shared school setting has been evidenced as something non-appropriable that can produce ways of resisting and re-existing in and with the world. Keywords: Homeschooling. Governmentality.Este texto discute la configuración actual de una gubernamentalidad neoliberal fascista, que mantiene los principios del neoliberalismo, pero al mismo tiempo pone en operación tanto un fascismo molar (estatal), como molecular (microfascismos de lo cotidiano). A partir de esto, se problematiza cómo dicha gubernamentalidad incide sobre el derecho a la escolarización de todos en el tiempo presente. Se analiza, así, la escolarización doméstica por medio de Proyectos de Ley en trámite en la Cámara de Diputados. Frente al material empírico, se señalan dos movimientos analíticos: 1) la articulación de la escolarización doméstica con los principios neoliberales de libertad individual y de responsabilización de los sujetos; 2) la constitución de la exclusión como un derecho que produce dos procesos: la exclusión por reclusión de la otredad y la exclusión por protección de la mismidad. Finalmente, se señala el espacio común de la escuela como algo no apropiable que puede producir formas de resistir y de re-existir en y con el mundo. Palabras clave: Escolarización doméstica. Gubernamentalidad.Este texto discute a configuração atual de uma governamentalidade neoliberal fascista, a qual mantém princípios do neoliberalismo, mas, ao mesmo tempo, coloca em operação tanto um fascismo molar (estatal) quanto molecular (microfascismos do cotidiano). A partir disso, problematiza-se como tal governamentalidade incide sobre o direito à escolarização de todos no tempo presente. Analisa-se, assim, a escolarização doméstica, por meio de Projetos de Lei em trâmite na Câmara de Deputados. Frente ao material empírico, apontam-se dois movimentos analíticos: 1) a articulação da escolarização doméstica com os princípios neoliberais da liberdade individual e de responsabilização dos sujeitos; 2) a constituição da exclusão como um direito que produz dois processos: a exclusão por reclusão da outridade e a exclusão por proteção da mesmidade. Por fim, aponta-se o espaço comum da escola como algo inapropriável que pode produzir formas de resistir e de reexistir no e com o mundo. Palavras-chave: Escolarização doméstica.
