Ethnic-racial relations on the Pedagogical Master Plans of undergraduate teaching training degree courses in Biology in São Paulo

Resumo: | The National Curriculum Guidelines for the Education of Ethnic-Racial Relations and the Teaching of Afro-Brazilian and African History and Culture establishes that pedagogical plans of undergraduate teaching training degree courses must contain education of ethnic-racial relations. To verify which approaches are found in this type of document, 14 Pedagogical Master Plans of São Paulo State public undergraduate teaching training courses in Biology were analyzed. Based on the content analysis, it was verified that the Guidelines were explicitly mentioned in six of the Master Plans and that the critical position associated with the use of biological knowledge in the face of racial discrimination was placed as competence of the graduated student in five of them. It was also observed a variety of contents associated with the education of ethnic-racial relations, but these contents were concentrated on pedagogical and/or humanity areas, marginalizing biological-specific areas. Biology teaching.Las Directrices Curriculares Nacionales para la Educación de las Relaciones Étnico-Raciales y para la Enseñanza de la Historia y Cultura Afrobrasileña y Africana instituyen que los proyectos pedagógicos de las Licenciaturas deben contemplar la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales. Para verificar cuáles enfoques encontrados en este tipo de documentos, fueron investigados 14 Proyectos Político-Pedagógicos de cursos públicos paulistas de Licenciatura en Biología. A partir de un análisis de contenido, se verificó que las Directrices fueron mencionadas explícitamente en seis de los Proyectos y que la posición crítica asociada al uso de conocimientos biológicos frente a la discriminación racial fue colocado como competencia del egresado en cinco de ellos. Se observó también una variedad de contenidos asociados a la educación de las relaciones étnico-raciales, pero que tienden a estar solo en disciplinas de las áreas pedagógica y/o de ciencias humanas, marginando las biológico-específicas. A partir de uma análise de conteúdo, verificou-se que as Diretrizes foram explicitamente mencionadas em seis dos Projetos e que o posicionamento crítico associado ao uso de conhecimentos biológicos diante da discriminação racial foi colocado como competência do egresso em cinco deles. Observou-se, também, uma variedade de conteúdos associados à educação das relações étnico-raciais, mas que tendem a estar apenas em disciplinas das áreas pedagógica e/ou de ciências humanas, marginalizando as biológico-específicas.
