Resumo: | This paper reports the results achieved by a research on the development of aesthetic thought in children. The research sought to answer the following questions: What do Pedagogy students and primary education teachers know about Art History? How Art History could be presented to nursery and primary education students? The starting point for answering these questions was to identify the symbolic, cultural and artistic knowledge that is part of the students’ daily life. After that, Art History could be taught in correlation to that knowledge, so its learning became meaningful to all the participants of the research, i.e., Pedagogy students, primary education teachers and especially nursery and primary education students. Keywords: Art History. Teacher education. Meaningful learning. |
