Regulatory policies in education: the organization of schooling in cycles in the State of Goiânia, Brazil (1998-2008)

Resumo: The present article analyzes the organization of schooling in cycles in the State of Goiânia, Brazil, in the light of the regulation of education policies that took place in the country from the 1990's onwards. Our theoretical-bibliographical research took advantage of former analysis of the social regulation performed in the fields of Economy and Political Sociology, using as reference the theoretical-methodological framework developed by Marx and perfected by Gramsci. It is presumed that, in the current scenario, that are new forms of social regulation that, in its developments, have echoed in the regulation of educational policies and that, in a sense, have informed principles for new forms of organization of the school.   Keywords: Social regulation. A investigação de natureza teórico-bibliográfica beneficiou-se das análises da regulação social realizadas no campo da economia e da sociologia política tendo como referência o quadro teórico-metodológico desenvolvido por Marx e fertilizado por Gramsci. Presume-se que há, no cenário atual, novas formas de regulação social que em seus desdobramentos têm reverberado na regulação das políticas educacionais e, em certa medida, têm informado princípios para novas formas de organização da escola.   Palavras-chave: Regulação social.
