Systematic synthesis of research on pedagogical practices in Brazil: an analysis of the academic production of the Graduate Programs in Education CAPES Grade 7 (2006-2015)

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to present and discuss the results of a systematic synthesis of research on pedagogical practices through the analysis of abstracts of dissertations and theses on teaching and/or teacher education defended between 2006 and 2015 in the Graduate Programs in Education in Brazil that received Grade 7 in the 2013 triennial evaluation of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES). In this study, it was sought to follow the seven steps defined by the British author David Gough, for a systematic review or synthesis of research. The research findings and conclusions summarized in the abstracts of the dissertations and theses that were part of this meta-research taught many lessons about pedagogical practices. The article highlights the need for ethical procedures – beyond merely protocol actions – for research on pedagogical practices and that they also serve to increase the scientific validation of academic investigations and, at the same time, as a strategy for professional teaching development. Systematic synthesis.El propósito de este artículo es presentar y discutir los resultados de una síntesis sistemática de investigaciones sobre prácticas pedagógicas por medio del análisis de resúmenes de tesis y disertaciones sobre docencia y/o formación docente defendidas entre 2006 y 2015, en Programas de Posgrado en Educación en Brasil, que recibieron Concepto 7 en la evaluación trienal de 2013 de la Coordinación de Perfeccionamiento del Personal de Nivel Superior (CAPES). Se buscó seguir, en este estudio, las siete etapas definidas por el autor británico David Gough, para una revisión o síntesis sistemática de investigación. Los hallazgos y las conclusiones de las investigaciones sintetizadas en los resúmenes de trabajos, que hicieron parte de esta meta investigación, enseñaron muchas lecciones sobre las prácticas pedagógicas. El artículo destaca la necesidad de procedimientos éticos – más allá de las acciones meramente protocolarias – para las investigaciones sobre prácticas pedagógicas y que estos también sirvan para el aumento de la validación científica de las investigaciones académicas y, al mismo tiempo, como estrategia para el desarrollo profesional docente. Síntesis sistemática.O propósito deste artigo é apresentar e discutir os resultados de uma síntese sistemática de pesquisas sobre práticas pedagógicas por meio da análise de resumos de teses e de dissertações sobre docência e/ou formação de professores defendidas entre 2006 e 2015, em Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação no Brasil que receberam Conceito 7 na avaliação trienal de 2013 da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes). Procurou-se seguir, neste estudo, as sete etapas definidas pelo autor britânico David Gough, para uma revisão ou síntese sistemática de pesquisa. Os achados e as conclusões das pesquisas sintetizados nos resumos dos trabalhos que fizeram parte desta metapesquisa ensinaram muitas lições sobre as práticas pedagógicas. O artigo destaca a necessidade de procedimentos éticos – para além de ações meramente protocolares – para as pesquisas sobre práticas pedagógicas e que estes também sirvam para o aumento da validação científica das investigações acadêmicas e, ao mesmo tempo, como estratégia para o desenvolvimento profissional docente.
