Ethnic-racial issues in the school environment: reflections from theses and dissertations on pedagogical practices developed in Basic Education

Resumo: The purpose of this article is to understand how ethnic-racial issues are being worked on in the daily school life of Basic Education, using data obtained from dissertations and theses in the field of Education as a parameter. The methodology used is based on the critical dialectical approach, focusing on the content and form categories, and as assumptions the studies of Cury (1985) and Gamboa (2012). Racial ethnic issues will be treated in the light of the postulates of Hall (1990), Quijano (2005), Silva (2000) and Nájera (2018). The results reveal that the pedagogical practices developed in daily school life and in the context of continuing education courses for teachers need to have as a theoretical methodological basis, the intercultural perspective, which makes it possible to seek the constitution of a posture of equal treatment that modernity has promised through the social contract and which, unfortunately, in contemporary society, has not yet been effectively fulfilled. Dissertations and theses.El objetivo de este artículo es comprender cómo las cuestiones étnico-raciales están siendo trabajadas en el cotidiano escolar de la Educación Primaria, teniendo como parámetro datos obtenidos de disertaciones y tesis del área de la Educación. La metodología utilizada posee como base el enfoque crítico dialéctico, con foco en las categorías contenido y forma, y como premisa los estudios de Cury (1985), Gamboa (2012). Las cuestiones étnicas raciales son tratadas a la luz de los postulados de Hall (1990), Quijano (2005), Silva (2000), Nájera (2018). Los resultados revelan que las prácticas pedagógicas desarrolladas en el cotidiano escolar y en el ámbito de los cursos de formación continua de docentes necesitan tener como base teórica metodológica, la perspectiva intercultural, que posibilita buscar la constitución de una postura de igualdad de tratamiento que la modernidad ha prometido por medio del contrato social y que, lamentablemente, en la sociedad contemporánea, aún no se ha cumplido efectivamente. Disertaciones y tesis.O objetivo deste artigo é compreender como as questões étnico-raciais estão sendo trabalhadas no cotidiano escolar da Educação Básica, tendo como parâmetro dados obtidos em dissertações e teses da área da Educação. A metodologia utilizada possui como base a abordagem crítico dialética, com foco nas categorias conteúdo e forma, e como pressupostos os estudos de Cury (1985) e Gamboa (2012). As questões étnico-raciais são tratadas à luz dos postulados de Hall (1990), Quijano (2005), Silva (2000) e Nájera (2018). Os resultados revelam que as práticas pedagógicas desenvolvidas no cotidiano escolar e no âmbito dos cursos de formação continuada de professores necessitam ter como base teórico-metodológica a perspectiva intercultural, a qual possibilita buscar a constituição de uma postura de igualdade de tratamento que a modernidade prometeu por meio do contrato social e que, infelizmente, na sociedade contemporânea, ainda não se cumpriu efetivamente.
