The education of literacy teachers and teachers of Portuguese in the early years of elementary school: the Pedagogical Projects of Education undergraduate courses in Southern Brazil

Resumo: | This study aimed to understand the initial education process of literacy teachers and teachers of Portuguese in the early years of elementary school from the analysis of subjects that promote learning how to teach language. To achieve such aim, the reflections of this study were supported by Bakhtin’s enunciation perspective along with literacy studies to evaluate the content related to the specific professional education, mainly regarding Literacy and Portuguese curricular components. The document analysis focused on the Pedagogical Projects (in Brazil, PPCs Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos) of undergraduate courses, workload, name, and content of the subjects covering these areas in onsite education courses at public universities in Southern Brazil. The results showed some flaws in the initial education of future teachers since the number of specific subjects and their workload were reduced in most curricula. Another finding was that the content of such subjects was rather generalist and insufficient, suggesting the need for further reflection on the specific subjects of this area. |

Para tanto, se considera la perspectiva enunciativa bakhtiniana y los estudios de letramentos a fin de evaluar los contenidos relativos a la formación profesional específica, especialmente, en lo que dice respeto a los componentes curriculares de Alfabetización y Lengua Portuguesa. La pesquisa documental analizó, en los Proyectos Pedagógicos de los Cursos (PPCs), la carga horaria, la denominación y los programas del curso de las asignaturas de esas áreas de cursos de Pedagogía presenciales de universidades públicas de la región sur brasileña. Los resultados revelaron fragilidades en la formación inicial de los futuros docentes, pues el número y la carga horaria de las asignaturas específicas de las áreas son, en su mayoría de los currículos, reducidos, así como sus programas del curso son marcados por la generalidad e insuficiencia, sugiriendo la necesidad de reflexión sobre las asignaturas del área.Este trabalho tem como objetivo compreender o processo de formação inicial dos professores de língua dos anos iniciais a partir da análise de disciplinas voltadas ao aprender para ensinar a língua. Para tanto, consideram-se a perspectiva enunciativa bakhtiniana e os estudos de letramentos, a fim de avaliar os conteúdos relativos à formação profissional específica, especialmente no que diz respeito aos componentes curriculares de Alfabetização e Língua Portuguesa. A pesquisa documental analisou, nos Projetos Pedagógicos dos Cursos (PPCs), a carga horária, a denominação e as ementas das disciplinas dessas áreas de cursos de Pedagogia presenciais de universidades públicas da Região Sul brasileira.
