The performance of students from the public network of Bahia in ENEM´s writing: a descriptive approach from the Bahian Education Evaluation System

Resumo: | This study aims to present data from a descriptive study that compares the text production performance of students from the state public school system in a state external evaluation with their performance in the Enem essay, in a municipality in Bahia, The research also describes the performance of students from the same educational network, in different years of Enem, with the objective to verify whether there have been advances in the writing of dissertation-argumentative texts. The methodological approach was quantitative and based on a case study (ANDRÉ, 1995), whose descriptive analysis was produced from students’ performance report cards, data from SEC/BA and Inep/MEC. The results revealed a classification of texts considered intermediate, both in the state assessment and in Enem, as well as the leveling of the performance of students from Bahia in the period 2013-2019. Finally, scholars in the field of text (ANTUNES 2005; MARCHUSCHI 2008; KOCH, 2007; FIORIN&PLATÃO, 2011 etc.) signal that the difficulty in producing texts is, in general, a problem for Brazilian students. |

La investigación también describe el desempeño de los estudiantes de la misma red educativa, en diferentes ediciones de Enem, con el objetivo de verificar si hubo avances en la redacción de textos disertativo-argumentativos. El enfoque metodológico fue el estudio de caso (ANDRÉ, 1995), de naturaleza cuantitativa, cuyo análisis descriptivo se produjo a partir de boletines de rendimiento de los estudiantes, datos de SEC / BA e Inep / MEC. Los resultados apuntan a una clasificación de textos considerados intermedios, tanto en la evaluación estatal como en Enem, así como a nivelar el desempeño de los estudiantes bahianos de 2013 a 2019. Finalmente, académicos en el área de texto (ANTUNES, 2005; MARCHUSCHI, 2008; KOCH, 2007; FIORIN & PLATO, 2011 etc.) indican que la dificultad para producir textos es, en general, un problema para el estudiante brasileño.Este trabalho tem como objetivo apresentar dados de um estudo descritivo que comparou o desempenho de estudantes da rede pública estadual, em um município da Bahia, na produção textual solicitada em uma avaliação externa baiana com o desempenho na redação do Enem. A pesquisa também descreve o desempenho de alunos da mesma rede de ensino, em edições diferentes do Enem, com o intuito de verificar se houve avanços na escrita de textos dissertativo-argumentativos. A abordagem metodológica foi o estudo de caso (ANDRÉ, 1995), de natureza quantitativa, cuja análise descritiva foi produzida a partir de boletins de desempenho dos estudantes, dados da SEC/BA e do Inep/MEC. Os resultados apontam para uma classificação dos textos considerada intermediária, tanto na avaliação estadual quanto no Enem, bem como para a nivelação do desempenho dos estudantes baianos de 2013 a 2019.
